Hi Jeep fans,
I used to own a 2000 WJ Grand Cherokee - Limited V8 (with Quadra Drive). I bought her "used" in 2004 with 90,000 km on the clock and I had a love - hate relationship with it. I loved driving it, both on & off road, but I hated constantly forking out my hard earned to keep the WJ going. I ended up selling it in 2009.
Well 5 years on and my enthusiasm for another (new) JGC has been resurrected after reading so many positive reviews about the 2014 Grand Cherokee range. It seems to have come a long way from the WJ model.
I intend to purchase later in 2014 in Melbourne, Australia, and so far I'm looking at the Diesel Overland or the SRT. I'd LOVE the V8, but the high fuel use is a concern.
I will be going off road (camping), but nothing too serious, just easy trails. My main thing that I'll be doing is travelling the open roads (towing medium loads - sometimes) and I want to do this while enjoying the luxury of a higher spec model. Head says SRT, heart says Overland Diesel.
Anyhow, I'll keep checking the Grand Cherokee forum to learn more about this exciting new 2014 vehicle. I know that I'll learn a lot from you guys here
