Whew! Finally

After almost a year of looking and trying we're going to pull the trigger this Sunday. Still deciding between a 2014 Overland 3.6L with 100 miles (yup, new on lot) for $42,000 and a 2014 Summit 5.7L with 16,640 miles for $41,000.

The Summit features like rain sensing wipers, BLIS, and adaptive cruise are really appealing. It'll be a commuter, so the 5.7L is not really "needed".

Decisions, decisions.

For those with the Blind Spot Information System (I think that's what it's called) really come to rely on it or would you not miss after having had it?

Thanks
Ol Blue

Whew! Finally

The overland should have those sensors also. Also auto high beams unless it's only on the 15. I would go with the overland.
About the blind spot. My wife who used to be a really good driver until she got her Subaru Outback limited with the eyesight and blind spot. She doesn't even use mirrors anymore it drives me nuts. Good luck with your decision

Re: Whew! Finally

Thank you.
I'm pretty sure the 2014 Overland did not have the front sensors, but I could look again. It might be a mute point now.

One of the dealers we gave up on last week just called on the wife's dream machine - 2015 Overland with Luxury Group, Technology Group, Off Road Adventure Group II plus block heater and CD player. They came up $1,500 on our trade.!! Though I try to keep all our vehicles in top notch with maintenance slightly ahead of schedule, do the clay bar, wax, shampoo, etc. twice a year, rattles and noises bother me, so those are dealt with immediately, I did not expect the additional trade in. They were at KBB, Edmunds, and NADA value already and had taken off $4,117 from MSRP.
Of course, I said done deal for $2,000 more instead of $1,500 more. He's going to call me back. Just between us though, I'm taking the deal even if they don't come up the additional $500.

Woot! Happy wife, happy life!

It was late when we finally got home, but here's a pic of the new family member in park mode (height) out front of the house:

Re: Whew! Finally

The new rig has been getting a proper cleaning and detailing in the evenings which led me to decide on splash guards before anything happens. The local dealer says OEM splash guards are not available for the front of the MY15. Husky makes some (58101 for the rear and 59101 for the front). Does anyone have an opinion on these?

TIA
