i just purchased a 2013 GrandCherokee Overland Summit with a hemi. after i brought it home it started to blow white smoke out of the exhaust when i start it in the morning. the smoke stops after less than a minute. what do you think it could be. thanks
Check the recalls and TSB's in the engine section. Originally your Jeep came with a dipstick that was too long, showing low oil even when the correct amount was added at oil change so your engine may be too full of oil. New part number is shown on the TSB. Your part number will be on the dipstick. I think there is are also TSB's on the PCV valve and an updated windage tray in the oil pan. Your dealer can run your VIN to verify if these have been done yet. Do an Advance Search for smoke or white smoke. I'm having trouble with adding links from my tablet right now but there are several threads. Click on search title only.
