WJ Clock Spring

Hi Guys,

I am new to the forum and need your help and only recently bought a 2004 4.7L HO Jeep. Can anyone advise me if getting a 2nd hand clock spring from a scrap yard will work for my WJ jeep.
Is there any way I could test the clock spring before purchasing.

Appreciate your help.

Re: WJ Clock Spring

Welcome to the garage.
You can very well get a clockspring from the junk yard, they donīt break that quick and it maybe will be good for the rest of the jeeps live.
To test it without it being installed, is possible, you can measure the continuity of all the pins, see attached wiring pages with the clockspring pin numbers.

Re: WJ Clock Spring

Dear Frango100,

thank you very much for the feedback. This is very comforting.
I have located at least 2 WJs that are being stripped- hopefully I get lucky.
Best Regards,
