Well guys I think its time this comes to light to the public of jeep garage. Greg can comment if he likes but as someone who has been seeing this happen IM pissed, idk how he isnt!
So we all saw that TWO months ago Greg (JeepCoop) ordered a rear guard two. At the time the site said usually ships within 2 to 3 days. Its now been TWO months of bullshit from Marlin, the guy running it now. Hes been telling Greg that its shipping in a few days and then a week later its being powder coated and then being shipped and it never ships, now he says it will ship tuesday (december 6th) and im willing to bet it wont.
I also had an issue with Marlin regarding an order I was considering until he didnt get back to my TWO emails. Three weeks later when I posted on their facebook page about it I got an email response to BOTH my emails within 20 mins.
I am not saying anything about the product they put out, its awesome! But his view on customer service is appalling. If he got in over his head with back orders, he needs to just come out and say it, not keep blowing smoke up Gregs ass saying it will ship in a few days and then a week later saying the same thing.
END RANT>

Coop is right. Negativity is infectious and we should remember he is probably over his head right now and maybe a bit overwhelmed. I'm going to give the guy the benefit of the doubt and hope he takes the feedback and improves his communication. As a business owner, he should understand from all the feedback that every encounter with a customer is an opportunity to earn their business.
Well just have to wait and see what he does with the feedback he has been given.

Don't get me wrong, still want their products, its just a shame to see so many negitive stories about buying from him. He needs to just admit he's overwhelmed and put everything that's out of stock on hold till he can get some in

Hey guys just got an email from Marlin and he wants to spread the word on to everyone in regards to the issues and everything else.

Marlin is a stand up guy and believes in not only great products, but most importantly, costumer service.

Here's exactly what he emailed me to have you all read.

"I agree 100% with most posted on this thread.

I have been in fabrication business for 23 years. I have am selling parts on line for over 6 years. When I took over 4xGuard Russ had stopped all fabrication and the stock was depleted.

Key differences with 4xGuard and my JBA is, I can walk in my shop and see where things are at and how long it will be till they are finished. 4xGuard is in LA and I am in PA. I have to take what shops are telling me in LA and relay it to my customers. The problem is bad communication!! If and when things changed, they did not tell me till it is too late or I find out form my customers they did not get there parts. (I look like a liar) I am not making excuses, this is what happened and for that I apologize. I was as frustrated as you are!! Most of these problems have to do with restarting and not being able to be there to see for myself.

What I have changed
- I upped quantity of parts in stock at all times.
- as long as parts are in stock, I am printing the packing slips and UPS tracing numbers from my office, customer will see an email with the tracking number and the day it should leave the warehouse. This email goes out 3 days before the order goes out the door.

Just with those two key changes, customers will be getting products in a timely fashion.

12-08-11 we are out of stock on the front guards and it is noted in shopping cart (parts will ship 01-02-12). All of the other 4xG Mfg parts are in stocks ready to ship.

If you want to talk me you can call 855-533-7437, if I am tied up leave a voice mail or send an email to sales@jeepinbyal.com

You are right good customer service is the key to being successful!

Thanks
Marlin Gehman

That's a great follow up email! I do think its just a bump in the road and things will get worked out. Like o said earlier, in the past I've ordered from JBA and it was a great experience.

Whoa! You's a rich guy! Lol, I couldn't believe the price on his front adjustable struts . $3600 for struts is insane! That's like Pro-Corr Baja shock prices!

Coop thanks for sharing.

Marlin- thanks for responding. Sorry if we came off as hard on you. As I said in previous posts. We love your stuff and want you to succeed but communication is key. I look forward to doing business with you in the future. I want the Matrix and full armor although I really like the old design of the RG better. Just saying I don't need access to my spare and I like the look better. Good luck with the aquistion of 4xG.
