Another WJ 2"lift thread

New member and trying to decide on a simple lift for a 2004 WJ limited.

Was all set on the simple 2" pucks and new shocks until I started finding the replacement spring kits.

Looks like either the 2.75 from Kevin's Offroad with MX-6's or the Iron Rock Offroad 3" lift kit are both good options. Haven't read anything negative about either one (possible shipping delays from KOR?).

I've got 17" rims on the limited and also trying to decide on which tire would fit best with these kits. Will give both places a call tomorrow for more information, but also trying to get input from forum members.

Re: Another WJ 2"lift thread

Tire-wise I think it's going to be 245/70R17. I've got the limited edition so 17" rims instead of 16 (almost missed that one as my previous WJ had 16s). Looking at Firestone Destination AT's, BFG All-Terain T/A KO or General Grabbers. Got almost all desert and sand here in Vegas, not much for mud trails.

Cool Re: Another WJ 2"lift thread

That is a great looking setup!

I've got the Addco bars on my shopping list as well.

Hope to get more info from the vendors as a comparison tomorrow. It seems both offer some different parts on the build.

Common: 4 springs and shocks.

IRO (listed $600 + $ for better shocks)
Heavy duty track bar
Rear extended sway bar links

KOR (listed at $759 with Mx-6 shocks, low as $479 with others):
A-arm spacer
Rear shock mount sleeves

I replied to your post about this on the WJ section before this was made.

Re: Another WJ 2"lift thread

Ordered the IRO 3" kit today along with an Addco rear sway bar. Should be here late next week so I can start the build. That gives me some time to decide on tire size. Had to take a crash course in metric sizing to understand the numbers.

Two of the tire sizes I'm looking at that should equate to 31" US Sizing

245/70 R17 shows an OD of 30.6
265/65 R17 shows an OD of 30.7
