The majority of what I read here is people pissing and moaning about their WK. Good, bad or indifferent, just a ton of WK traffic not really related to anything. Please stop pissing and moaning. Lets work together to make Jeep a better brand. I will contact some off-road sites to see if they are interested, but my suspission is that they wont participate till we get onto real issues like lifts, tires, axles, etc.

Sorry, honesty is my fault.

What would be nice is keep the WJ, XJ, TJ, etc then add factory equipment, aftermarket and break them into categories. Just a thought.

Re: ATTENTION:Offroad Jeepers! Opinions needed for this forum!

jeep forum has a lot of good information on it but the site itself sucks. we need to get those guys on board here full time and transfer a lot of those threads over. i've seen a lot of them upset with that site anyways so i'm sure it wouldn't be too hard to bring them over. i try to refer to jg as much as i can when i'm on there but i'm sure its just a matter of time before they ban me or something.

Re: ATTENTION:Offroad Jeepers! Opinions needed for this forum!

Something that would be helpful for soon to be lifted Jeeps is an install thread formatted to showcase install process/instructions. I had to do a ton of searching (since my OME came with no instructions) to get a solid idea of what I was getting into when I put my OME on. In fact, the best info I came accross was from an XK forum. Luckily, I had help from a buddy that knew exactly what he was doing and all the tools imaginable. If there was a thread dedicated to lift installs it could really help people out as far as "one stop shopping" and probably recruit new members. Just my 2cents.

Re: ATTENTION:Offroad Jeepers! Opinions needed for this forum!

Hi everyone,

Just beginning to look through this section.

How about making the Trail Run Plans/Reports a subforum so that members can create a thread for each journey/event made.

I'm having a look through the sticky, some great stuff there, but it members created a separate thread for each trip, members could navigate the separate plans/reports a lot easier.

Re: ATTENTION:Offroad Jeepers! Opinions needed for this forum!

Without having looked through every post here to see if this has been covered, I would suggest having platform specific off-road sections. An alternative might be terrain specific sections eg sand, mud, rock, water and outback. Oh yeah, I forgot, you guys have snow.

Re: ATTENTION:Offroad Jeepers! Opinions needed for this forum!

I agree with Derwood98, a dedicated "Offroad" section would be cool. Albeit, there are certainly more "street" advocates here than "offroaders".
Initial top level categories in the Offroad section might be identified by the Class of Jeep. Such as: Wrangler, Cherokee, Commander, Grand Cherokee.

Having a unique Offroad section would certainly make it easier to find / share offroad related info that's not buried elsewhere.

As an aside, I found JG when looking for a good GC forum after the GC Trailhawk showed up in the driveway. Good job guys !
