question - have my new tires and new lift... my lift guy doesnt install tires and my tire guy doens't install lifts... i want my lift guy to do an alignment but i think it would be better to do with the tires on ( ive heard people say it doesnt matter ) So... if i wanted to do that i would have to put on my tires BFG ATKO 265/70/r17 with 1.5" spacers with NO LIFT and then drive to get my lift installed. Is this safe? I will be only driving for 1 day like this, maybe less... or should i just get the lift put on with my stock POS tires then drive to get my tires installed with the lift installed.
I did something similar: but i just rolled with it all on for a day - lift and tires/wheels on the same day; took it for alignment the next day. I just drove slow(er) so it wouldnt mess anything up. I havent noticed any issues
I would get the lift put on and run with stock rims/tires until you can get your new set of rims on. Then get an alignment when everything is set. You always want to get an alignment when all work is done and you have the truck you want. Ive made that mistake before.
