Someone seriously needs to build a nice bumper for the WK, the 4xguard is not enough protection, and the arb the tubing kills it in my opinion and makes it heavier. Its a little bit too bulky also. Someone needs to make one a little slicker, save some weight and you will make some series money. Someone with some fab skill should do this, I know id buy one. I smashed up my bumper in the woods the other day. Just dreaming sorry

No one makes a decent bumper for the WK. There have been several attempts to get a group buy going to have a semi-custom fab shop make bumpers for the WK (like ShrockWorks), but you need to get 20 pre-orders before it's economically viable.

The ARB is a bit too heavy and extends way too far in front of the WK, however it can be cut down and made to look really nice - but you're probably talking about $1000+ for the mods and $1000-$1500 for the bumper.

I designed and helped build my own bumper with most of the characteristics you're looking for, but it was very expensive (even with me doing 50-70% of the work). If you're in the Denver area I could hook you up with the guy who helped me fab my bumper, but it will cost at least $2K, probably much more.

Here's pics of my bumper:

I might be able to get one of my buddies to build a WK bumper. He has a company called truck defender. There bumpers are all aluminum so they are light but still very strong. If anyone is interested let me know and ill see what I can come up with. Something like RedRockers would be great (Nice work by the way)

How about the Saguaro bummer? New style has the ends match to the body lines and looks pretty slick imo but i think its still in testing along with the new rear bumper and tire carrier.

Have you guys heard of Iceland Offroad? Their bumpers are fiberglass but the designs look much nicer than ARB. They offer winch and non-winch bumpers.

I've already emailed them and they don't currently have plans to produce one for the WK. BUT, they said if the market wants one, they'll do their best to make one.

They look pretty sweet just don't know how trail proof they'd be for those that are looking for that protection.

I've got a buddy who does a lot of custom off road stuff out in here in So Cal... we were talking about making up a nice clean front bar that sticks with the lines of the jeep and bolts to the frame... it would probably run right around ~600 bucks... it would integrate a front skid plate and some tabs for lights in the front... probably my next big project

This Forum is awesome, welcome! You will find a lot of tips on little fun modifications you can do yourself without spending a lot of $$$.... as for the Jeep, not sure i can think of any problem areas off hand, if its got cloth interior just be ware that they stain EASY! like... even with water... some guys on here change out their seats with the SRT set. Not sure what model you're looking at but its probably a Laredo, thats what i'm rolling and i absolutely love it... good luck man!! Also, ive got about 45k miles on it and i consider that to be quite low, i bought it just over a year ago for just under 18k and 23k miles from a dealership which was a decent deal given the condition and miles... hopefully that will give you a nice platform to start with the price/product ratio.

Will this be your first Jeep? I'm on my 3rd....
