Since there are so many people on the forum that have a Rola rack, I figured I would start a thread for people to show them off. I know a lot of you have done some nice things with them. So let's see it...

I'll start:

I would. You don't really have much to lose considering you aren't using it now. Worse come to worse you'll have to toss it out. Do it!

I'm not sure how to go about it

I put the extension in my Rola. Here's a pic from a batch I'm working on right now as I'm trying to get better with my photo skills. When I'm done editing I'll throw the full set of pics in a new thread. Word!

My Thule 575 snowboard carrier finally bit the dust so I semi fabricated another solution:
-Yakima powder hounds bought from Craigslist.
- 2 24" pieces of 1/2" iron pipe.

Popped the endcaps off the Yakima bars and inserted the 1/2" pipe, then slapped on the powder hounds. This takes less than a minute to get on and off and will only be on when hauling my board around. It's now WAY easier to reach my board without having to climb on the jeep in wet snowboard boots. Booyah!
