Got Some Thangs Did!

Had the front bumper, grill, cowl panel under the windshield, front part of the hood, side mirror housings, and the outer part of the fenders around the wheel wells coated in a new type of Line-X called "ultra".

Also installed some SRT8 seats.

What year? What kind of seats did you have in it before? How easy was that swap?

As it was explained to me by someone who had done the swap before:

Even though the seats came out of a 2007 WK SRT8,(the same model year as my Limited), someone at Jeep in their infinite wisdom decided to make the electronics just different enough to cause problems if a seat swap was done. The seat motors and heating pads will work, but the contacts in the plugs were slightly different as to cause an array of warning lights to constantly flash. Fortunately the seat frames in ALL '05-'10 WKs are the same, so the least pain in the ass was to have an upholstery shop break down my stock seats to the frame and have the SRT8 foam and seat covers installed on the stock frame thereby also reusing the stock seat motors and heating pads. Also need to keep the stock seat belt receptacle. I suppose there is a work-around to get the SRT8 seat electronics to work in my non-SRT8, but as mentioned before I was going for the least pain in the ass method. There is also an air bag sensor that is tripped when the seats are removed, so that will need to be reset.
