Hybrid Lift (Hypothetically Speaking)

I'm currently running the RK 3.5 X-Factor lift kit. It includes longer replacement strut forks in the front and 2'' coil spring spacers in the rear. The kit only gives a true 2'' of lift. I've been toying with the idea of making a very sturdy hybrid lift - I don't want to stack spacers or any sketch like that.

I was thinking maybe some longer coil springs in the rear. An additional 3'' of lift would be ideal (I hate rake!). I don't know if there are any shocks long enough for this sort of setup, I don't know that the ABS line would be able to reach that far down, and I don't know what complication's I'd run into with having to raise other parts of the undercarriage.

I'm pretty clueless as far as what kind of options I'd have for the front. Possibly just a spring spacer? But then would my steering arm fit right? Again, shocks long enough might be hard to come by along with the same unforeseen complications.

The idea of having one of the tallest WKs is very appealing and I think 5'' of lift wouldn't make the body look too small. I'm just curious as to how realistic any of this is. It's not going to be happening any time soon as I only have a few thousand miles on my 31s and don't have the funds to buy more lift kit parts yet.

I think your best/safest bet would be saving for the BDS or Superlift. Look in that thread for the dude with the lifted WK with the 6.1 in it - I think he has a Superlift with some other lift in there and he's got 5.5" of total lift.

So I assume that'd be the SL? Would the OME springs be all around or just rears? And the same Bilsteins I've got right now? Wouldn't have thought they would work with such height.

I would not use the WK bilsteins with that much lift.

I'd assume SL too, but it might be the BDS lift, and I'd assume he'd have the OME springs because they are taller than the stock springs.

Also that much lift would make 265/65's look small. I'd run 33's or 34's with that much lift, and in that case IDK how the 3.7 would handle that size tire.

The tires are one of the reasons this can't happen for a long time

I'm not sure where the line is drawn as far as how large the tires can get before you have to regear. Damn 3.7...

I wouldn't bother unless you stock up on parts like i did, i have gone threw all my spares and believe me i could of bought the SL 2 times over with install! do it right and get a SL or BDS, save yourself the headaches and the 3hr tows.
