Re: I love this combo (wheel/tire)

Sdalz - These are the TRAIL Grapplers, NOT the MUD Grapplers! The Muds are ridiculously loud and obnoxious. I have the Trails and although they do have a hum to them they are the quietest M/T tire I have ever ran. They role very smooth and took no weight to balance. They are Awesome off road and have never failed to get me over or through any obstacle. With their construction they are practically bullet proof! They are an E tire so they are a little stiff which is great for on road handling and they are fine for off road after a little air down. They are perfect for our heavy beasts. I had KM2 before these and the Nitto Trail Grapplers are superior in every way.

NHWK05 - If it is looks you are going for a bigger wheel would be nice, but if you want off road performance stick to a 17". The larger the wheel the less tire which means less tire flex and traction when you need it. You have to air these things down to make it a configurable ride off road. And as I said above they are a stiff tire, so if you don't air down you will not have the greatest traction which will leave you spinning and getting nowhere. On road a 20" wheel will not provide as comfortable of a ride as a 17" will. Just my opinion, do what you wish. It's your ride! It will look awesome no matter what.

Re: I love this combo (wheel/tire)

Thanks for the info Om. This is nothing that will be happening in my foreseeable future just a dream. I'm done wheeling. I had a 6" lift and 315/75/16 cooper STTs on moabs on my old xj. I used to wheel those at 10 psi load range D.

IF, I ever lift my wk it will be a medium duty OME lift and res with either 17" pintlers or 20" reps or these wheels in a 20" with trail grapplers for tires. It would be purely a mall crawler or weekend camp use at that point and I'd have a DD. But again this is a dream. I could leave it stock and get my dream 3am 15oo outdoorsman edition with a hemi.

Re: I love this combo (wheel/tire)

Thanks guys!!! No rubbing AT ALL!!! Stoked on these things. For a M/T theyre is little to no noise. They ride smooth as butta (chunky butta) on the street! I only tested them for a few min on some hard packed dusty trails, but theyre are siiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiic!!! Stoked! Good suggestion, Nathan!
