Re: Lift kit

Crap! i would go 33's and a 5.5'' lift for a decent ride.

Re: Lift kit

I use the Wrangler Mt/R's on 32's and they are amazing. My friend uses them with 44's and he swears by them.

The 8" lift to me is overrated. I agree with AcidCold the 5.5" when you get higher in the WJ is't super unstable, and you get to be very limited on what trails you can go on. Since many have low hanging tree's and stuff. And when you get that high the center of gravity is wayyy off and you can roll it pretty easy. I'd go with the 5.5" and save money for some armor - You'll need it!!

You'll probably want some fender flares if you want to go with tires that big and ever drive it on the street.

Just my $.02

So what axles are you putting under this hoss?

You don't want it to ride like crap, but you're putting an 8" lift and 37s on it

Gonna go with 206WJ and say 5.5 and 33s. You're gonna break a lotta stuff with the stock axles, not to mention the brakes with 37s.

Re: Lift kit

I didn't even think about the axle's and the 3.73 gears with 37's. That 44a in the rear wouldn't hold up for sure, I doubt the d30 in the front would work well either.

Re: Lift kit

Dana 60's will be needed for 37's and i would recommend a different TC like a Atlas with a better lower gear.

thanks guys. im still lookin but i agree with being trail limited. i found a 6.5" long arm kit for clayton that im thinking about rather than the 8" kit. also thry dont make an 8" kit for the 2002 and above model years. im also gonna be running 35" tires with fender flares.

Re: Lift kit

i know Clayton's used to use rock Krawler springs in their kits. don't know if they still do or not.

Personally? dont even shop for other kits, Clayton's or nothing.
