Absolutely! Get it and smile all the way. Can't beat that price either.

Lol, prolly gonna do it before winter starts full force here in NY. Just gotta find someone with a garage. Are the spacers gonna screw with anything?

#5 ·
But will it do harm to my car??

Go for it!

I have the 2 inch spacers on my ZJ along with a 3.5 inch spring lift. It kicks some a$$ lol. It still rides decent considering. Mine is wearing the pinion seals on the diffs and t-case, but no wonder.

ok cool. i figure being up higher wont hurt anything.

Lift that b*tch, and get some nice tires!

Go for it, I'm thinking about doing a 2 inch lift as well but if I were to do it I'd get ones with shocks. I'm still thinking about it though.

Take a look at this thread for other lift options incase you want to see your options:

check your front top spring perches, some 99's had really short fronts, which makes it less than desireable to add a large spacer.....not enough shaft for the spacer to hold on to. as for price-cant beat that price. its also common for wj's to get death wobble from a lift (even a small one), but generally you are ok up to 3". i say go for it.

Why scott?

Scott hates lifted Jeeps in general. He wants 'em lowered! Everyone has his or her own taste. I like 'em LIFTED.

#16 ·
yep....my personal taste is the lifted Jeeps....especially on stocks wheels and such.... look stupid....

you are asking for opinions and youll get them.....

#17 ·
appreciate your opinion scott.

Mario's WJ is a great example of a lifted Jeep.

Personally though, I'm with Scott and I'd say lower it but its your Jeep bro!

BTW; why would lifting the Jeep wear out the pinion seals on the diff/T-Case faster?

The drivelines have more of an angle on them.

yeah dylan, its 4wd.

yeah, a neighbor of mine has a geo suv thingy. with like a 5 inch lift and huge tires, i just laugh when i see it.

i say go for it if thats what you want to do. just make sure you do it right. reinforcing what everyone has said about making sure you get shocks with the lift.

imho though, what you pay for is what you get. in other words, the more you pay the better quality of a lift you're going to get. rubicon express offers a nice WJ 2 inch budget boost that comes with shocks.

I say lower. The more you lift the more body roll/less handling you're going to have in turns. I like the lowered look but thats just my opinion.

here are both my rigs..... the black one is the 4.7 limited w/3"ironrock and 265/70/16 Nitto Terra Grapplers, biltsien's, 1.25" spyder trax spacers', tbs, intake, The goldone is an 04' 4.0L, Laredo, 2" boost, 265/75/16 Firestone Destination AT's, 1" Spacers, Intake, TBS,

Canyanman is correct, the early ones had DS issues.

I've been running a lift for 35k now, I love it, that being said, it costs ALOT of money to lift a WJ properly. I helped Mario back in the day when he decided to lift his wife's WJ. Our setups are slightly different, but the pictures speak for themselves.

Get a JKS trackbar and good shocks at minimum to go with the spacers. A lift is not something you want to half-ass.

Do it!

Lift it! lol how much are you thinkin about going up? I went with a RC 4" and 2" skyjacker spacers for 6" of total lift, and i love it. Just make sure if you go up more than 3" or so you get the right control arms or you can get a death wobble from hell. I had it for a bit until i got mine drilled out to fit
