Re: Lift Question and Suggestions

Yea so I found it right away lol. So the coils are 80 a set. Now my question is what is the advantage of going this route versus the budget lift?

I mean if I replace the coil it will raise the vehicle correct?

Then just wait till my cureent bilsteins go and replace them with EMU?

I think I would go with the HD for the same price.

Re: Lift Question and Suggestions

Why wouldn't people just do this to begin? Ot replace the stock coils with these for what the average rough country budget boost cost.

I mean I wont be doing any crazy of roading and I know my shocks will wear out prematurely because of the lift. BEcause the bilsteins are not made for a lift correct? Sorry guys I know this is alot of questions. I have just never bought a lift of any kind. I have always been a car guy so I'm trying to get the full idea of it all.

Because you'll still need to disassemble the spring/strut when you install the lift. Also, if you blow out your struts early you are wasting money. Those Bilsteins will bring some decent money in good shape. If you can afford it, I'd do it all at once, plus you'll only have to change the struts and align your Jeep once.

Re: Lift Question and Suggestions

I got you 100%. Alright ao I got another question what do you think the used bilsteins would go for. Like a fair used price they have prolly between 6k-8k on them. I seen a new set is 310. So what about two hundred fair for all four?

You guys got me sold on this kit. I mean I was sold after all the reviews and what not but you put the icing why not do it right.

Re: Lift Question and Suggestions

And I wouldn't recommend using the OME coils with Billstiens. Those OME coils are super stiff and were design to ride with the OME shocks/struts. Using them with Billsteins would probably result in shitty ride quality.

You could budget boost now. That's no problem. But if you plan on installing an OME kit later........it would make since to me to just wait and install the OME kit.

I do agreeI think they would sell on here plus I would not want o rip anybody off I would just want to get a few extra bucks to kick towards the OME kit.

What are the addition parts that are required for the OME kit? Wouldn't it just be springs?
I can't speak to that...I've used their products on my old TJ and XJ...but not on a WK. What I can say is that it took REALLY crappy ride quality and made these lifted trucks MUCH more tolerable day to day. The difference between my stock ride and my OME ride was a lot like when I pulled my stock shock and sways off the WJ and upgraded to Addco bars and Bilstien shocks. Night and day.

Re: Lift Question and Suggestions

Well I guess my mind is made up for the most part. Either sell the bilsteins and get the one kit, get the ome kit after the bilsteins are shot, or get a budget boost and just call it a day for the moment.

I think if I go with the budget boost it will either be the Rougj country or the rock road.

Re: Lift Question and Suggestions

My 0.02 to the discusion. If you go with BB you will have 2" higher ride with OEM coils (soft) and same quality. With OME HD your ride will be more then 2" higher (3"), more stif and more capable(offroad). Do it right once and forget.

Re: Lift Question and Suggestions

Yea I agree why get under there twice. I posted up the shocks and the Pirelli's that I just bought for sale in the jeep stuff. So we will see what happens if not I guess I will just have to wait for the bilsteins to wear down or out and go from there. BUT I WANT IT NOW LOL...
