Sweet Bud! The Rusty's IS the SL, but with a few extras like rear LCAs and adjustable track bar.

Send Kolak an email. Kolak@aol.com. Tell him the guys at JG sent you, ask him what he can get you the SL for. He has always gotten me the best deal I could find.

Re: LIFTING the jeep

Ya good one Lucas J! Kolak has excellent pricing and I do believe his SL price is similar to Rusty's price. The one thing to look at for Rusty's is shipping cost! Their shipping can be a bit steep. Sometimes you can call and get a cheaper shipping price though. The Rusty's lift isn't a replica, it is the SL just with added parts. Basically it comes with rear LCAs instead of using the SL drop bracket (rock anchors) and an adjustable track bar to better dial in the rear axle side-to-side. Whatever you do DON"T get their rear shocks!

Re: LIFTING the jeep

Yep! The lift along you are looking $1400-1500 plus shipping. The instal is usually about the same. So you are basically buying two lifts! What I plan on doing once I go that route, is taking the Jeep into a shop and having them do the crossmember cut and weld and then taking it home and doing the rest myself.

I picked up my SL for about 1800 and paid 800 for the install. The shop that did it is a father-son jeep startup shop and I was happy to help them out. They have built some badass rigs!

Coming from an ex-lifted truck guy and ex-off-roader guy:

DON'T SHORT-CHANGE ANYTHING.

You are making an extremely expensive decision. Not only now, but down the road. Your tires are more expensive. You now have more maintenance. You now have fewer things under warranty. You now have the ability to have a LOT more fun. Save the extra 6 months and get the bigger lift. Don't cheat yourself out of more fun and have it cost twice as much to do so. Just my 2 cents...

Haha, then shame on you for knowing better! Get the bigger kit, it's a nicer rig! Good luck with it, no matter what you end up doing!
