pretty awesome.... all wheels lock when shifting into 4LO... looks like QDII and QTII are the same in 4LO but the difference is when 4LO is not engaged.

QTII has no ELSD's. It is in fact an open differential. In 4lo the QTII will activate the brakes on the wheel with less traction and force power to the tire with the more traction. QDII will actually lock the differentials together providing true 4wd.

You may have been watching a video on the QDII. The QTII differentials are open and just have spider gears no lockers... QDII has actual Eaton electric Limited Slip clutch packs that will lock the axles together. Watch the videos in my IRO 4xguard testament thread you'll see all 4 wheels turn at the same speed. Then watch a video of QTII in action, big difference. QTII will not, it will spin the wheel with the least amount of traction then apply brakes via ABS and send power to the wheel with the most traction.

You're quote says it all... 4lo locks the front and rear DRIVESHAFTS, not the left and right axles of both differentials. That's where they differ. It is stating that in 4hi most of the power is being sent to the rear axle(differential). When wheel slippage occurs it sends power to the slipping wheel and axle via the clutches in the transfer case. When put into 4lo it locks the front and rear driveshafts together and forces them to turn at the same speed. In 4lo the QTII is still in fact an open differential.
