Re: New RRO leveling kit, Done the right way!!!

No issues, had it done about 5K ago. At Level kit, and put on 17" Rockstarts with Nitto's.. ride and handling are great. Put a K&N two weeks ago, noticeable difference...

I am sure that your tired of answering questions RE: the lift BUT when you mentioned the 1/8" steel spacer, did that allow you NOT to cut the strut mounts ? did you fab them yourself ? or will RRO be able to supply them ? or do you have a picture of them. sorry and thanks

Re: New RRO leveling kit, Done the right way!!!

Sorry about getting back to you so late, the steel spacers were Tuff Country that came with the first kit I bought. They had an 1.5 aluminum doughnut spacer and the steel 1/4 inch rectangle plate thT sits on top of the strut studs. And "no" i didn't have to cut the tops of the factory studs down. And it gave me a tital of 2" of lift up front.

WRT to the stud-cutting, can they be re-used if I wish to take the spacers off at the end of my lease?

Re: New RRO leveling kit, Done the right way!!!

Yes, there should be plenty of thread left to re-mount them, I would trim it a little when you putting the kit on and then push it back through to make sure. If you dont mind cutting your losses you could just leave the kit on and nobody would really notice.

I used the leveling kit up front (not the lift kit) and was fabricating my rear, when I ran out of acetylene. I had a tire appt in 2 hrs so i came up with a quick/temporary fix, but these would work for long term use too (i just want more lift in the rear so im going to finish making my kit). I used TJ 3/4" coil spring spacers in the rear. The stock WK2 lower control arm spring perch fits perfectly into the spacer and the spacer fits perfectly into the LCA spring perch hole. This gave me enough lift front and rear to fit 255/80/17 BFG KM2's (33.06x10.08x17) with a unique 297 steel wheel with a 4.5" of backspace. Minor fender trimming was required to fit these (cut and fold the pinch welds and felt between the tire and the doors. The 265/70/17 (32.01x11.24x17) fit fine though without trimming. pics are attached of the rear spacers, pinch weld mod, and jeep after lift and tires.
I just wanted to revive your jeep pictures that looks Great
