Re: New RRO leveling kit, Done the right way!!!

That makes sense. Maybe my real question is, what is the difference between the leveling kit and the lift kit? I thought the lift kit just used larger spacers but was implemented the same way. Is this the case?

The Leveling it is just a 1.75" spacer that sits on the front struts. The lift kit is I believe a bigger front spacer and a corresponding rear spacer to make a 2.5 inch lift.

Right now with the level kit up front and the .5" teraflex spacer in the rear the top of my fenders are at 34.5inches and the rear are at 35.5inches.

Interesting. I just bought a 2017 Limited (75th Anniversary).

Currently (stock):
Height to front fender is 33.25
Height to rear fender is 34.5

So adding 1.75 up front and 0.5 in the rear would make them both 35.

My measurements are based on a 2011 Larado with the 17inch wheels. The .5" in the rear will add closer to 1" of lift in the back due to the geometry of the rear suspension. I was at 34.5 in the rear before the .5" spacer.

Thanks so much for the advice. Is the same true for the front suspension or will 1.75" spacer translate directly to 1.75" of lift?

Re: New RRO leveling kit, Done the right way!!!

Anyone tried getting 305/55/20 tires under the RRO leveling kit? I think that combo would be just over a 33" tire. I like the Ntto Ridge Grapplers. Not sure if you could get 305s to fit on the OEM 8x20" wheels though. Recommended minimum width is 8.5" from Nitto.

If I go to a 295/55 it should fit on a 8" wheel but it brings the tire size below 33".

Thoughts?

Re: New RRO leveling kit, Done the right way!!!

The reason I'm assuming no one opts for the 2.5" lift is probably because it's $400+ which to me seems ridiculous for what it is.. If it's at all similar to the spacer lift on my 07 XK Commander, it shouldn't be more than $100. Same goes for the leveling kit.

I'm on the fence about getting the leveling kit or just waiting... no way I'm spending $409 for a set of "bigger spacers". If it came with new shocks, hardware to compensate for the size increase, then maybe, but until someone posts a under $100 2.5" lift I won't be buying anything.

Me personally, I am trying to run my ProComp 4.5" backspace 17"s and 265-70-17 Mickey Thompson Baja ATZ tires, but don't want any rubbing.

Normally I'd opt for a cheapo ebay lift and get 2.5", but all I can find is RRO 2.5" ($409), RRO leveling kit ($159), and the Tuff Country set on ebay which requires strut disassembly($100.95).

Yeh, now I am thinking about just doing the Bilstein 5100s up front and set them at 1.75.
Anyone know if this will stiffen them too much? Would height be compatible to the RRO 1.75 leveling kit then?
Is the full lift another 0.75 taller in the front?

This setup is still expensive but at least I get better shocks. If it's not enough then I will look at adding spacers.

As far as tires, it sounds like even 285/55/20 is pushing it so probably just stay at 275/55. Hope I don't regret that.
