Re: New RRO leveling kit, Done the right way!!!

Very happy with the results of leveling kit on 2017 limitedImageUploadedByJeepGarage1487902808.879761.jpgImageUploadedByJeepGarage1487902830.014975.jpgImageUploadedByJeepGarage1487902852.955504.jpgImageUploadedByJeepGarage1487902898.460889.jpg. 295 wouldn't fit but 285 will with a little trim work. I decided on KO2 over the Terras for a bit more aggressive tire.

Looks incredible! Exactly what I'm looking to do. How much lift did you pick up in the front (from your previously posted stock measurements to fender)? Debating between the 2.5" lift or just doing the leveling kit. Also, does the ride quality suffer at all? I had a Tacoma with a spacer level kit and the ride quality was horrible... told myself I'd only do full suspension kits from here on out, but those haven't made it to the market yet for the 2017 WK2's.

Cheers,

Zach

Hey Takeover

Would you be willing to take a measurement and tell me what the difference is between your front and back height paying attention to where your gas tank level is at ?

Thanks

Re: New RRO leveling kit, Done the right way!!!

Ordered the level and teraflex spacer for my 2011. Already running 265/70/17 KO2's stock and also on JK wheels with no rub except on the face of the brake caliper. Curious if I can fit a 305/55/20 after install...

Umm... That's not a good thing. You might want to correct this issue before you worry about tires.

It was corrected before I left the shop. The face of the caliper was barely touching the spoke of the wheel from how the caliper was cast. I smoothed the face of the caliper and problem solved. It could easily have been fixed with bolt on spacers, but I've seen too many horror stories to even think about it. My new wheels and tires arrived today, so the JK wheels will come off until I order my wheeling and winter tires (most likely 255/75/17 General Grabber X3)

Are these pics right after install and it hasn't settled yet ?

The front seems high for the level kit ( I like it) with a 285 tire ( 32.5" ? )

That looks great...in fact, I have the exact color 75th and have been wondering about keeping those wheels. Mine is a 16 though.

But I wonder if you did the install because I have spent two days trying to figure out how to just remove the front strut assembly. I have followed every instruction out there but I cannot seem to creat enough free space to remove it. I've used spring compressors, unbolted all three bolts of the control arm, taken the rotors and brake calipers off among many others. Whatever I do would require me to really force the bottom of the strut over the rubber boot.

I am installing an OME lift, well I would like to anyway. And I don't consider myself an inexperienced Jeep mechanic, I have always installed my own lifts, driveshafts, etc.

Any help?
