Re: New RRO leveling kit, Done the right way!!!

Wow,,, Ok one more time for those of you that didn't read through from the start of the thread... The RRO leveing kit is what "most of you want to get rid of the deplorable rake on the front. It measure's at 1.75 which will allow you to run a 33" tire or it's metric equivalent depending upon what sixe wheel you have. I have 17's, the 18's are a a different metric ratio but over all a look for the metric tire that measure out at the closest to 33" that you can find based upon your vehicle wheel size. It shouldn't void your warranty unless your were negligent during install and caused the problem. And what's this about a cutoff tool? You don't need that just 2 guys and the tools to remove the front coils and then when you're done go the ailignment shop. MacDaddy

I hope your buddy has some strong teeth! The cut off wheel is the tool used to cut the tops of the strut studs so they fit in the gap of the leveling kit. Please explain how you trimmed those with no cutting tool.

Re: New RRO leveling kit, Done the right way!!!

Lol,,, yeah I forgot to mention that it was the RRO "lift kit" that I purchased and modified, I added an 1/8" steel spacer plate on the top of the front strut spacer assembly and then cut the rear down to 3/4" to achieve my "desired look" and "lift" characteristics and the lift kit didn't need to be trimmed for clearance. Good luck to all that choose either one from RRO I think you'll like the finished result MacDaddy

Re: New RRO leveling kit, Done the right way!!!

Here is my 2011 with the RRO leveling kit. I took the factory 18's off and put on the new 17" rockstars (17's are new now the style). Wrapped the wheel with some terra grapplers. RRO and RCKSTR.jpg click to enlarge...

Looks real good, did you get the alignment done? If not I'd suggest you do it.

Re: New RRO leveling kit, Done the right way!!!

Anyone have suggestions on places to get this done in the Northern Virginia/Washington DC area. My local lift shop said it was going to be like 365 because they had to take the computer and half the engine out or something. This is what he said he's had to do on the 2009/2010's.

He is very very wrong, this is a very very simple task for a shop. Its just like replacing a strut, nothing else. This is a completely different vehicle.

I know I told him that but he seemed convinced. Will prob look elsewhere for an installer.
