I will be purchasing the Leveling kit in the next couple of weeks. Curious about the set up since it says you dont put the spacers on top of the coil springs. How exactly is the RRO kit set up?
Here's pics of the RRO leveling kit. It looks perfectly even when looking at the truck on flat ground...it will settle a bit the more I drive it. In the 5 mile city/freeway back from the shop....I noticed nothing different in the handling or ride. I have my winter tires "stock size" on now so come summer I think it will look real nice with the wider stance my summer wheels have.
Killer!!! It looks dead on flat!! I'm should have mine on this weekend, than off to firestone to take. Advantage of my life time alignment!!! I really like my stock size revo II , going to 275/55/20 revos in the spring.
so what does this do, just raise the front end a tiny bit?
you know, I parked at walmart the other day and my front tires parked in a lower part of the parking lot than the rear wheels, and when I walked out and saw my WK2 head on it made me want to jack the rear end up an inch little bit instead. shiz looked pretty mean with a stance like that.
Wow that looks great stevo! I can't wait to have mine on. It's getting installed on the 14th. I'm having one of my wife's students put it on for me. He's in the mechanics program at her tech school. I lol'd when he said $25. I'll throw him some more when I pick it up.
Also will you take some measurements? Someone else looked like they were slightly elevated in the front.
Looks good, Love the wht/blk/chrm package My kit was reconfigured at 3/4 (.75) and I added a another 1/4' (.25) flat spacer from the tuff country kit. So again all in all 2" up front and 3/4 rear after cutting the RRO lift kit and installing. I prolly would have opted for the leveling kit if it was out prior to their lift kit. oh well. How does the GC look while driving? When I initially installed the front lift from RRO the measured out at 1 3/4 (1.75) 1/2 (50) higher than the back and tending to look like it was squating while driving. That's the reason for me modding the rear end of the RRO kit from 1 5/8 to 3/4 (.75) for the rear. Over all it's a great and easy lift or leveling kit depending what you wnat it to do for your personal tastes. Hat's off to the RRO people for getting something out there so fast for all of us...
4th...looks great. 1st set of pics looks like your rear sags a bit but the driveway pics look dead on. I agree that I can't tell there has been any suspension mods while driving. It seems the same as stock. Now I might have to get the side steps as my girlfriend doesn't like the extra height getting in.
Nice!! About to buy a RR leveling kit for my '11 WK2 QT1.
Does it change the tire size that will fit? What size does everyone think is most reasonable?? I would be more than happy to stick with stock size (245/75/17) but if I could upgrade, would be nice.
4th Chereokee great job. I would like to do the same, what lift and tires are you running now. I would like add bigger off-road tires (Nitto Trails) to my 2012 WK2 but want to keep it simple. Any suggestions? Thanks
Wow, 4th Cherokee I like your new shoes for spring too. What size are those wheels (offsets ?) and tires? Have you notice any issues at all with the RRO leveling kit? Did you have to reline the headlights, stuff like that?
Thanks.
Hello all, leveling kit works great!! I am considering one but have a couple of questions. I'm sure they are answered somewhere in the forum, but thought I'd give this thread a try.
1. Where to get it installed? I know it's not too difficult to do yourself, but I don't have a driveway or flat surface, the tools, or really the time. We have a couple of places I saw in Seattle, but does it matter if the dealer does it? (I know the dealer prices are an arm and a leg).
2. Any experience with warrenty issues? I am not so much worried about the Chrysler factory warrenty, more the extended warrenty that I am covered by. The value of an extended warrenty is debatable, I know, but thats the type of person I am. If the kit will put the warrenty at risk, I'd rather forgoe it alltogether.
In my experience you'd be hard pressed to find a dealer that would even install the leveling kit, around here anyway.
If you call RRO, they should be willing to help you find a place that will install it.
I've also seen some local alignment shops willing to do it (not chain places like Firestone), and auto accessory places which look like the cater to ricers often put on lifts as well.
Thanks! Thats a good idea calling RRO, may try that. There are a few places in the Seattle suburbs that may do it as well.
My main concern is my warranty, but my understanding is that if it is not a suspension related issue it should be ok.... should be. Anyone have any experience?
