Nitto Terra Grapplers vs. Cooper Zeon LTZ

Anyone have experience with these 2 brands of tires?

Trying to switch from my stock Fortera's (265/50/20 I think) to one of the above.

Need decent tires for light off-roading here in Colorado.

Opinions for the Off-Road crew?

Also - any recommended shops in the Denver area?

Re: Nitto Terra Grapplers vs. Cooper Zeon LTZ

Actually I bought a set of Nitto's less than a week ago. Bought them off a guy on craigslist who had purchased them for his WK2, but he decided to sell his WK2 and never got around to mounting them.

Still had the Discount Tire Direct invoice attached to them, he paid $800 and some change. I bought them off of him for $650 then sold my stock Fortera's with just under 13k miles for $300.

That said, loving the Nitto's so far. Very aggressive looking like they belong on the Jeep. Took them off-road a couple of days ago (mostly just slightly rock trails) and they performed well.

Just looked up the size on discount tire - the cooper discoverer at3's are also available in that size & worth a look. I put these on my vehicle about 8 months ago & they're great. Cooper has a comparison grid on their site - the at3's are equal or better than the zeons in all categories except dry traction. From everthing I've read, the Zeons are a great tire, but I'd check into the at3's too.

edit - sent the first reply from my phone, adding the link to the cooper site..

Just to add another to the mix. I just ordered Falken Wild Peak a/t in 275/55/20. Come with a 80,000km warranty (apparently)
Does anyone have pics of there wk2 with a/t's I'd like to see them. I'm not sure if I paint my wheels black or not yet

I've had my Nitto Terra Grapplers for a few thousand miles now. Like them. Don't notice too much difference compared to my stock Fortera's, other than in the mornings they wobble a little until they are warmed up. Heard this is because after sitting they have flat spots. It goes away before I even reach work though (8 miles).
