Hmmm ok. Do you know how to check the DTC codes yourself w/o the scanner?

Just hold the ESP button down for like 20 seconds and it should shut off completely. You'll know its off when you the light shuts off. That may work for now...

Ok I'll try shutting off the ESP and see what happens. I know some vehicles have a key cycle test. But I don't know how on my 08. Tried turning it on and back off 3 times but it didn't do anything.

That's the way to do it. All the way left and then just go from off to on (don't start motor, duh) off to on, off to on and leave it on, on. Should say something from there.

Lemme know if the ESP helps at all. I'm sure its gotta be annoying. Sorry brotha!
