Props To Marlin @ Jeepin' By Al
Last week, I investigated the clunking noise emanating from the front suspension and discovered the upper ball joints and bushings on the JBA UCAs I installed a year ago were completely worn. I was NOT happy. I called Jeepin' By Al, but got a voicemail that they were closed for that week to attend Easter Jeep Safari. BUT OF COURSE! I then sent Marlin an e-mail, asking if this was a an issue with the UCAs and that I needed a part# for the ball joints, figuring it was gonna be awhile before I got a reply...if ever.
BUT, Marlin sent a reply that day, informing me that the premature wear of the ball joints and bushings is atypical and that he will send me replacements immediately. I received the parts Monday, which means he stopped whatever he was doing at EJS to find the correct parts and have them shipped to my door. That is customer service.
Now I know that there is a thread on this forum where some negative opinions were vented on JBA after they took over 4XGUARD in regards to delayed orders and perceived lack of courtesy or adequate information when customers contacted JBA. Perhaps it was an issue with acquiring and integrating a new business into their organization, or something else. I can only say for certain that my personal experience with Jeepin' By Al's customer service was a positive one.
