Sorry, I got you mixed up with a local WKer - your screen name is similar to his. Trango is the screen name of the guy who helped me fabricate my bumper.

Air bags will still go off if they are necessary - they are triggered by accelerometers - you just wouldn't have the plastic honeycomb structure of the stock bumper to lessen the impact of a fender bender.
