I'm looking for a nice smooth riding 4" lift, I transport my 8 month old baby grl around frequently. I'm down to Zone 4" and IRO 4". Which of those 2 are better and why? I would like someone with experience from use and installation not a FRIEND...thanx fellas.

** Any reviews on the Rough Country 4" X-Series???

yea im looking at the IRO 3" kit personally. a friend of mine that wheels his zj alot recomended them to me, he told me to stay away from rough Country the name says it all. ride sucks. and i have yet to hear anything about the zone kit.

i have a 20 month old that i have in my jeep alot so i too would be concerned with the ride quality.

The problem with short arm 4" kits is that you are at the very edge of the envelope for that type of control arm and ride quality is gonna suffer no matter who makes it. The rear arms are bottoming out at 4" and the front angles are too steep. If you're gonna lift a short arm setup stay around 3". You'll definitely be happier and way less twitchy. If you want to go tall save up some cash and get a quality long arm setup that rides like a Lincoln and corrects all the front and rear issues.

Zone= BDS both are very good stuff. At 3" I'm quite partial to IRO as it's a very complete kit and avoids all of the issues mentioned about that show up around 4". Not to mention I have yet to see a negative review of their stuff.
I have a BB right now and when finances allow I'm going to a IRO 3"
