He asked if maybe there was a sway bar kit to compliment the leveling kit due to the new stresses put on it..... Starting to worry now.... We'll see how it goes when I pick it up later.

Did they install on a lift or on the ground? In the directions its highly recommended to NOT use a lift. That could be why they had trouble. See below....this was copied from the instructions.

INSTALLERS, PLEASE NOTE: We HIGHLY recommend installing these kits on the ground, NOT on a vehicle lift! * The nature of the Jeep IFS struts makes it nearly impossible to impose the leverage needed to push & pull axles and knuckles on the front suspension unless the vehicle is on the ground. Additionally, when the suspension is free-hanging parts will make contact and create additional fitting difficulties. Installing on the ground will ease the installation and cut install time over attempting the same installation on a full vehicle lift.

Re: RRO leveling kit write up *how to*

yes, installed on the ground apparently. The shop owner started telling me about how hard it was to get the sway bar linked back up to the lower control arm and how 'these sway bar links always break on Jeeps and i need to watch it for eventual failure especially if i take it off-road....' I dunno wtf that's all about; maybe they were frustrated with the install or something but I'm hoping that the sway bars aren't now operating under extra stress that will cause it to break now that the spacers are on...... Having said all that, it looks great and drives normally. I like the look and tell while driving the front end is definitely up higher giving me that 'lifted' feeling.... Immediately afterwards, i went o Discount Tire and got my new 17' rims and 265/17/70 General Grabber AT's mounted and it looks friggin' sweet now

Did you get under and see if they tightened everything up, did any damage to anything IMO when a shop tells you to keep an eye on their work that's a scary thing.. Especially when its your suspension

Sounds like the shop was a little sketchy lol. As long as it drives normal and you don't hear anything I wouldn't lose sleep but definitely check it from time to time.

Oh and post some pics already!!

I did a visual inspection in a parking lot about 30 seconds after pulling away from the shop. Everything looked good and no funny sounds or unusual driving characteristics. I will get underneath it today for a more thorough look-over. The shop i took it to was pretty highly rated on CitySearch (94%, 4.5 out of 5 stars). Perhaps the Lead mechanic was just a bit of a worry-wart. They seemed to not want to rush the job which is why they kept it over night, but they didn't charge me anything over the agreed upon price for the work.....

Anyway, an alignment is next and I will try not to worry about any broken swaybar links in my future.

when you go for the Alignment, let them know why your having it done and ask them to take a good look and make sure All is good. Just a thought

You guys have had the leveling kit on for over a year now. Any problems or advice? How often do you get a front end alignment? Any sagging or complaints?

Re: RRO leveling kit write up *how to*

Just got the RRO leveling kit installed at the dealer today and I couldn't be happier! They charged me $250 for the install and 4-wheel alignment. All-in-all it took them 3.5 hours. They mentioned no problems with the install. On the 20 minute drive home my ride was nice and smooth just like before. I drove onto a dirt path to test the bounce and everything seemed to ride like before.
Ground clearance: in my level garage is 10-1/2 in the front and about 9-1/2 in the center.
Rear measurement from ground to fender: 34-1/2 inches
Front measurement from ground to fender: went from 33in to 34-5/8
On level ground my jeep appears to be sitting perfectly level. I will report back next time I have the jeep loaded down. Still debating between a yakima windjammer or the fairing. Here ya go! Before then after.
