RRO rod rack

So I picked up the RRO roof rack from a fellow member and installed it this weekend. BUT!! Are I got it put together on the roof I noticed the pipes on the carrier section were not even, which obviously led to a improper install. The rear pipe was clearly a 1/2 inch or more to the left. Now everything isn't completely tightens down. Maybe that will move it in a lil tighter, but think I'll still have the 5 degree bow on the side rail n the uneven assembly looking from above as shown in the pics. I have a grinder that I can cut the pipes even but haven't pulled trigger yet..

RRO rod rack

Ok so I pulled the trigger. But so u guys know and have reference, the bottom bar was 6-3/4" on the left side and 8.5" on the right side.

This is what I chopped off and now it work out perfect.

Here's what it looks like tightened down n finished.

It did rain last night n i c what forum member "kreugar" sorry if I misspelled your name bud.. But, here's some pics or small signs of rust after the rain. Guess I'm buying some rust oleum or something.

I'm surprised to see that the rack is painted and not powder coated.

Yea thats freaking crazy the roof rack i had was not like that, 100%, same finish as you but the fit like that, hell no

What's funny is after I bought this I found the Gobi racks. Expensive but I asked about a mil discount n the lady offered a nice deal. Normal price for the racks r 1600 n I wanted the ladder which was another 200. She offered them both for 1395. Pity the ladder apparently only works on 14' models everything below is plastic where as the 14 is metal on the upper part of the hatch
