Re: shocks with spacers??

It depends what you are looking for... If you are just going budget boost, you can get by fine with the oem shocks/struts. If you want to you could go BB with Bilstiens and the bilstiens would give you around 3/8" more lift. OR you could just get the Old Man Emu spring lift, the hole kit is around $700-750; it comes with new coils/shocks/struts.
I personally went BB, then after having it on for a year switched to the OME coil lift. I like how the jeep handles with the OME better than the pucks. When I hit pot holes there isn't as much of a bang. Also the OME kit give you better travel.

Re: shocks with spacers??

I'm throwing a BB and some bilstein hds on my wk for the time being. I figure if I like how it handles that ill bump up to a full coil lift. Honestly for your first lift I'd run the BB and an upgraded shock- still gain 2" of lift, add clearence for tires, and you don't break the bank right now.

Re: shocks with spacers??

i figure ill run mine for a year, then if i think i want to bump up ill sell the daystar spacers and the bilsteins to offset some of the cost of the OME
