No prob - thanks for taking the time and contributing.....i'll try to keep up....lol

Hmm...I'd like to know more.....if i'm only ~200 away, then it would save me the rip-out.

Re: "Stacking" up to the Superlift

I have experimented with many lifts from RRO, Daystar, RK, Bds in different combinations and found the SL to ride the best, Feels like a brand new WK with Bilstein shocks, that's the best way I can describe the SL.

I sound like a spokesmen for SL! lol

I'll trade you my Tiregate for your OME.

For stacking or wanting to mimic the SL, is there consideration for the relocation hardware that comes with the SL? If not - what's the difference between a stacked lift and the SL. Thanks!!

If you want 2-3" more then sell the OME and get the SL. Your suspension can't handle those angles just like Carlos said about his Frankenstein lift. The OME is about the limit without having to start replacing a lot of other components. I was getting about 22" (hub - fender) out of just the OME. After Carlos' experience I know I couldn't stack a BB on top of that. I decided to try just an inch extra and see how the suspension took it. the following is what I ended up with.

Front:
-OME HD coils
-OME struts
-Rusty's strut spacers (x2) for a 1" increase
-Longer top strut bold (x8) welded in grade 8
-HM Engineering UCAs (now you can get the JBA ones that weren't around back then)
-Extended bump stops (depends on tire size)
*Not required but useful, JKS quicker disconnects #2034

Rear:
-OME HD coils
-Poly spacers, either use Rusty's and leave off the rubber coil isolator or chop down a 2.25" to 1.5"
-Rusty's adjustable track bar
-Longer sway bar links, I recommend the JKS quicker disconnects #2001
-Extended bump stops (depends on tire size)
-Shocks of your choosing

There are a lot of different shocks you can use. What it comes down to is shock length. The OME shocks extend to 26" and with that length there are no other mods needed. Or you can choose a longer shock that extends out to 28" (SL, Fox, Bilstein, Rancho, ect...). With 28" shocks comes the following additional mods.

-Brake line extensions
-Notch the fuel tank skid
-You may have to lengthen the diff wires if you are QD2 equipped

After all this you should have a measurement close to 23". Yes all that just for 1" and you will still not have the height or down travel of the SL. Granted you will have a unique WK that is very capable (in the right hands ), rides and handles beautifully, and is equipped with OME's HD coils for control and weight carrying abilities. If you are like me and you love to tinker and you already have the OME lift, then this might be for you. If you do not have the OME lift then save your money and/or time and go with the SL.

One other consideration is wear. I might just be lucky and have not had any issues for the past year. But Sean has tried to do the same lift and has blow through 3(?) rack and pinions. SO the choice is up to you!

If you have any further questions or need more detail on anything, just ask and I will try to get back to you.

Re: "Stacking" up to the Superlift

Omelet - thanks so much for all the experience and information. These are great considerations and you just put it all on 1 page. That IS a lot for an inch. Sounds like the SL truly is the way to go. Looks like i'll have to just plan for another project in the future, as I'd need bigger/better stuff when that happens. Thanks again for the info and please keep this discussion alive

Coming from a guy who ran the stacked OME combo and replacing 3 racks and is now rocking the SL, I wouldn't have it any other way! I love the way it rides and looks. I may be putting the spacers back in the rear and an adjustable trac bar to even it out with the front. I'm over 6" up front with new OEM springs and Bilstein struts and around 5" in the rear. I think it rides amazingly well.

That is a recipe for disaster. I'd stick with either an OME lift and spacers or save up for the SL.
