Stonestomper rock protector
This product may not be available outside Australia. It is essentially a heavy duty mesh "blanket" that runs the full width of the car at the height of the hitch, all the way to the front of a trailer/caravan etc under the drawbar, to stop rocks beating up the trailer and potentially bouncing back to break the rear window of the Jeep.
My question, for anyone who has fitted one to their JGC, is what width at the car end did you choose? They come in 1850mm and 1950mm widths. 1950mm is wider than the distance between the outside of the mudflaps, and this quite a bit wider than the car body. But 1850mm is 50mm narrower than the distance between the outside of the tyres, which may mean rocks can still get past.
So if anyone has either of these sizes fitted, could you tell me your experience?
