Re: Would this work?

Just for reference on ride quality... does any know of or have any experience with using OME HD springs with MLLs?? the MLLs are coil overs and I just want to know if the combination of the 2 will be way too harsh a ride for a DD. I PM'd a couple people..some said it shouldn't be too bad at all, others said they wouldnt do it.

Anyone want to expand on this a little or have direct experience?? - OME HD springs paired with MLLs in the rear... are they okay for a good ride or are they too teeth rattling stiff?? I def. want to stiffen up the stock ride but I dont want to feel like I'm driving on circular cinderblocks.

Re: Would this work?

I know I don't have an OME kit, but I do have the LLS and man they do stiffen up the ride alot. I think if you paired the LLS with OME springs it wouldn't be too different from a daystar stacked spring with LLS because the rear spring is already compressed from the spacer.

I personally would go with a little bit bigger tire. The tire size you listed is close to what I have with the HD kit. Trust me I'll be upgrading tires very soon! The kit makes them look tiny. If you went with something closer to a 265/70/18, you'll be sitting around 33" vs 32". JMO

I agree with Jon on the tires. However I would advise you to keep saving and buy the SL.

lift newb

Okay, so I have a 05 WK with a 3.7 under the hood, and a 2" Daystar lift kit. Should I install the lift kit and slap on some 31" tires on it OR should I wait until I get a Jeep with a 4.7 or 5.7? btw, I'm new at this, I've only owned my Jeep for a little under a year.

Re: lift newb

Why wouldn't you lift it? Are you afraid the 3.7 is undersized? If you were to get a new jeep with a bigger engine, when would you buy it?

Re: lift newb

Exactly, i'm afraid the engine size is too small. And I'm not too sure when I'd get a new Jeep, sometime this year maybe? I have daystar lift on me right now, and I have an uncle who has a shop. Right now my Jeep is sitting on 245/65r17s
