my friend just bought a WK. He has 20" rims and wants run Nitto Dune Grapplers with like a 2.5" lift or something like that. the truck will basically be used for street and light beach.
anyone have any thoughts on the suspension set up?
But if it's only for "street" use and not off-road, then I think it would be cool. 20's + meaty tires + a lift = a bad ass WK. We're still waiting for someone to do this!!
kind of off from the suspension but Nitto offroad tires are over rated and priced. ive seen all there offroad tires in action and they perform poorly. save the money and buy a different tire.
To my eye, the bigger the tire and more lift you have, the smaller the wheel looks. So to me, I reckon it'd look tough as with a 20" wheel, 4" lift, and biggest tire you can fit.
FARKIN TOUGH I SAY! lol
I'm gonna be going with the RR 2.25" lift here shortly... already have the Bilstein's front and rear. I'm picking up my sahara 18's with 255/70/18's (32") dueler a/t's on them next weekend. Also gotta get the spidertrax spacers.
Yup, I removed the lift this summer. It's a pretty simple lift kit, so it's no big deal to remove it.
My Toyos are 30.3" which would look stupid if I left the lift in, So I got some 255/75/17 BFG M/T's for my stock chrome clads.
Next set of tires will be 305/40/22 Terra Graplers, Then I can keep it lifted year round!
