Since some of us enjoy taking our WK's off-road, I think it might be helpful to have a place where we can plan trips, share trail data and show what we've been up to on the trails.

I have two weeks to invest in the Colorado/Utah areas this spring/summer.

I am trying to balance Grand Slam, the opening of the San Juans(Poughkeepsie Gulch is beckoning me back....see pic) and meeting the folks at Saguaro to get a winch-bumper.

I know Tom Z and Acid will be interested, as well as Russ, if he is signed up.

Let's go wheelin' boys and girls(Darrell Waltrip).

I wish I were closer. I am in SoCal and will be de-virginizing this thing tomorrow, woohoo! However, I will be solo and this is the first time in 6 1/2 years on the dirt, so it will be real mild. I bought this thing to wheel, so who knows, if I ever get the chance I've always wanted to drive to CO (plans had included moving there to the Springs' area)...Been to UT (moab) and what a good time. I'm not planning on doing any rock crawling this time around though, with the IFS and low clearance (no sliders yet) especially

Wish I was closer to you bro! I would love to wheel the ZJ out west.

I will be wheeling tomorrow here in the East Kentucky mountains. Can't wait to get the old girl dirty. She has sit the biggest part of the winter.

It is. I spoke to them last week. They still haven't wheeled or towed with the bumper yet. The trip to EJS will be an indicator of how well it does.

One thought is to get the bumper at their shop and maybe install it right there if installation is as easy as it sounds,

I'm also interested in their rear bumper; a 33" spare takes up a lot of room.

Hey everyone I'm not very active on this forum but I lurk from time to time, anyway there was a plan set up for a Northeast trail run set up for this Saturday June 12th. A few guys showed some intrest but now it looks like its only gonna be me and 1 other guy meeting at rausch creek off road park. I'm posting this here to see if anyone else is interested in going. We plan to spend most of the day there and we we want to run the green trails which are classified as easy. If those don't seem like much fun then we might try some of the moderate blue trails.

I have an 05 Grand Cherokee with a 2" lift and A/T's plus front and rear d-rings and a rockcrusher rear diff cover and a 4xguard belly guard, the other guy has a superlifted rig with 4xguard armour all around and a few other goodies. I have a bag full of rcovery gear including tow straps, shackles, and an air comp.

This will be my first time offroad and I plan to take it easy I just think the more people we could get to join us in a group then the more fun we could all have and also help with spotting each other.

Rausch Creek is a membership based park so there is a cost to go in and use the park. For a first time member like me there is a 1 time fee of $15 which is the annual membership fee (paid only once a year) then there is a daily entrance fee which is $35 and this is paid everytime you go into the park. In reality its not to bad since you get to drive on maintained trails with an actual managment office incase of issues.

I'm hoping to get a few more people interested in going, I know this is short notice but there maybe it will work out. There were a few guys who I think backed out on the plans because they won't answer PM's or phone calls...

I guess if your interested please post up, or send me a PM and include your phone number and ill give you a call to discuss details instead of writing a long post with info.

Incase you missed it in this long post this trail run is planned for this weekend June 12th

Thanks Drew

Grand Slam West was a blast. There were over 40 Grands and about twice that many people. Everything went off without a hitch thanks to a year of hard work by the planners, organizers and sponsors. My pics are still in my camera but there are plenty over at Mall Crawlin.

Red Rocker spent much of his time helping people fix their rigs.

If you like to wheel your Grand then you might want to attend next year; great group of people.

I survived GSW unscathed but broke an axle and tie rod down in St George. Here are a couple links to St George. They call the area Fault Line/West Rim.

Just got back from Ouray, we ran Engineer, Mineral Point, Animas Forks into Silverton, Red Mountain Mining Area part 1 and 2, the first 1/4 of clearlake, last dollar road into Telluride and another one with no name. Overheated the front diff and t-case after mis-shifting into 4-lo then had the electric radiator fan snap and put a hole in my radiator and that's why we only did 1/4 of clearlake. put some epoxy putty on it and drove it back home. Watched an awesome fireworks show in Ouray, it sounded awesome listening to the echo roll through the canyons. Great weekend all in all. Can't wait to go again. We'll probably go again for Labor Day if anyone wants to join us for a few trails.
