Re: UNTITLED - 2014 Grand Cherokee Limited Build

Not a big update - but i recently installed bushwacker pocket style fender flares.
When i installed the RRO winch, i forgot to install new rivets to hold in place the original flares. So while i was driving on the freeway, the original flares got ripped off! It was actually kinda funny, but here is a photo of the newly installed flares.

My next purchase will likely be an sPOD for auxiliary lights and the air compressor that i am yet to install.

How/what did you do to make the rigid duallys fit the factory housing?

All you do is remove the stock fog light and mounts and cut a big enough hole for the rigid lights to slip into. To secure them you use the rigid jk light brackets and that's what holds them in place from the back side. It's not the nicest install because you're cutting into the bumper, but i am fairly certain I could out back the original fog light housing and you wouldn't be able to tell that it was once modified.

WOW!!!! When my Jeep grows up, I hope it looks like your Jeep. Any chance that you took pictures of the Rigid fog light install? I want to do that to mine so bad and have been searching to see if anyone had done it. Thank you in advance!

Mike

Hey Mike sorry for the late response. All you have to do is just remove the OEM foglight housing and cut the existing hole to fit the larger Rigid light. I'd imagine most people will not want to continue because you're cutting into the bumper. Once you make the hole just big enough (make sure you don't make the hole to large or the light will be lose), you need to secure the light with the "2007-2015 Jeep JK Fog Light Kit" from rigid. You only need to use the back part of the kit because that's what will hold your light secure. The hole process took me about 2 or 3 hours. It's really simple and looks badass in my opinion. Once you're complete you'll just add the thin bezel back onto the bumper.

Here is a photo of how it looks without the bezel.
