Wheeler Lake & Most Of The Way Up Mount Bross

WHEELER LAKE

Noob in a spankin' new Rubicon

The grey Rubicon made it no further than this, the driver did not want to thrash the new Jeep and he had somewhere else to be.

About a half mile beyond this spot I parked the WK. For those of you that go by the
http://www.traildamage.com/index.php rating system, this trail becomes a "7" and I will do no higher than a "6" with my current mods. So I rode in the maroon SaharaCon(the owner slapped on some Dana 44s)to the end of the trail.

Frozen Waterfall

Re: Wheeler Lake & Most Of The Way Up Mount Bross

Mount Bross

Most of the way up Mount Bross.

1,000 year old Bristle Cone Pines

At 12,000 FT, I was stopped by this snowdrift, so I continued on by foot.

Taken from 13,000 FT.

The road continues up to a point at over 14,000 FT, but I was not gonna make it before nightfall so I headed home. Will be back to complete this trail in July.
