Re: WK 6" lift and 35's is almost done!

Alrighty so these are spacers from the Budget Boost.

And sorry...one more question...do you have any spacers from the budget boost in the front? I was also thinking of adding the leveling spacer as well.

I'm using your rig as a blueprint for mine.

Also...what kind of tires do you have?

Yeah, I'm using the 1/2" leveling spacer up front. That together with the bilsteins gives me right at an inch more than the SL up front. I didn't want to go any higher in the front because I wanted to keep the rake going. That is one thing I didn't like about the SL was that the front actually lifted more than the rear and the rear seemed to sag. The tires are 315/70/17 Goodyear Wrangler Duratracs. I've ran a lot of MT and AT tires in the past and so far these are my favorites out of them all. Give me a shout if you have any more questions and I'll be glad to help!

Good gravy your jeep has just moved into my top 5 on jeep garage!! You get some sick metal up front and it will finish off the GTFO of my way look!

And I love the accent behind the front wheel...very nice placement IMO!!

Re: WK 6" lift and 35's is almost done!

Thanks Jay for helping out...so just to get this straight.

You have budget boost spacers in the rear. The leveling spacers up front...you don't also have the normal budget spacers up front as well do you?

Did you pretty much just have the superlift installed with those spacers already on? Have you noticed any noises or stress on any parts due to the extra 2 inches? Any mods required to make that work?

For your rims and tires...are you using spider-trax wheel spacers. In my previous WK I had spider trax spacers to avoid cutting the bolt and I folded the pinch weld back. Did you do this as well?

I first had someone install the Superlift. It was about 8 months later when I added the rear 2" spacers, then I got the bilsteins and leveling plate for the front. I put all that on myself. So to be clear, the only additional parts to the SL are rear 2" pucks, front 1/2" strut spacer plate and bilstein struts.
As far as extra wear, since the SL maintains stock geometry, I'm only out of line by 2" in the rear and 1" in the front. I'm not having any issues at all. The tires are not showing any irregular wear and all driveline/suspension components are smooth and quiet. Since I knew I was going to have such a high center of gravity I upgraded both my front and rear sway bars to stiffer SRT sway bars. It handles MUCH better on-road with them as body roll is reduced. I disconnect them if I do anything crazy offroad.
Due to the offset of my rims I'm not running spacers. Due to the larger tires, the pinch weld mod is a must in the front. Since the SL has longer cast iron steering knuckles, the bolt did not have to be trimmed. I also had to trim out about 8" of the fender liner on the front side. I'll post up a pic of that for ya later today.

Thanks!! Hopefully I'll get my front skid finished one of these days.

Re: WK 6" lift and 35's is almost done!

Thanks Jay,

All this information is awesome. I think what I will do is have a shop install it at the same time.

What's the downside of keeping the stock sway bars for a while? Just a little more roll when driving on road?

Yeah, it will drive just fine, it just won't handle as crisp. Wear a helmet in case you tip over!

My wheels are AEV Savegre. If you check my build thread you will find all details from start to current on everything I've done. Also, most of my mods are in my signature. That might help you out. Don't just copy mine though, try something new! Put some SRT reps on it.
