Re: WK lifts- OME vs. 2.25 RR

With my tire I did not do any mod on pinch veld. No need. Only rubbing I have is on the front side but this is due broken corner on the fender (deer hit) so inner molding is little deformed.

Does anyone know a 4x4 shop in South Jersey that could do the install on this?

Thanks,

hey man, i purchased my parts from a member on a different jeep forum, i remember getting the heavy duty setup for both the front and the back, i am going to look now for the site he ordered from,

http://www.rocky-road.com/wkome.html i know that you can purchase your lift from there, at the bottom get the complete ome full suspension heavy duty or medium duty whichever you prefer, i would go heavy duty if you are planning to add skit plates, bigger tires, etc.

i had it installed by some of my friends who are professional mechanics, it took no more then a day, if you are looking between rr and the ome, my one word of advice would be just go for the ome because i have had this setup for a while and havent looked back once. very durable, and not too stiff, it sits just right.

Re: WK lifts- OME vs. 2.25 RR

Is anyone know what the difference between the complete budget kit for $395 and the kit for $760 is on rr.com?

Looks like the only difference is the OME shocks in the back instead of the RR shocks..... Thats seems kinda insane but maybe theres more to it. If there is they should definately list it.

Re: WK lifts- OME vs. 2.25 RR

Agreed. Wonder what kind of lift i would get with the HD budget realistically?

Re: WK lifts- OME vs. 2.25 RR

RRO lift was a very good kit which I was happy with, I would of been able to fit 33's with minor trim work.

Re: WK lifts- OME vs. 2.25 RR

whats this i hear about the Rock krawler 3.5 X factor lift? only being 2 inches? no way, wouldn't that be false advertisement? i just ordered it and now hearing the the less expensive RRO 2.25 inch is bigger? this must be a mistake? and if it is, I WANT MY REFUND lol
any input?
i was looking for the biggest lift i can get with my not so deep pocket

i know i already started a thread with this same question but everybody on here seemed to already talk about it

Re: WK lifts- OME vs. 2.25 RR

Best would have been the ome in the 2" category, rro is a good setup but not as easy to install as the rok lift, all 3 will give you the same height gain but the ome will give you the best articulation. I have had rro, rk With coils and rough coutry before going to sl.

yeah i actually cancelled the order on my rock krawler lift, i figured if i want something done right i better do my research before i buy it!
i have a question for you acidcold: out of the RRO and the OME lift, which one had the best ride? since you've had both of them right?
and would i be fine going with the 395 dollar OME lift or is there something better about the 760 one?

and anyone who has the OME please chime in lol sorry if im hijacking the thread, i just thought since is the same subject it should be fine

HellaWK... that sucks man, i was looking into that same lift and was probably going to order it!! I'm in the same boat as you man... looking for a budget lift wanting to fit right around 32" tires on it. Not doing any crazy rock crawling, but i do plan on hitting the dirt and also playing around in the snow so i want bigger tires...

Re: WK lifts- OME vs. 2.25 RR

acid had the RK and RRO, not the OME.

if you're going to go with ome, get the whole lift...whatever this mystery $395 one is, i can bet it's not worth it...if it even exists.

DGora31 - if your main concern is fitting bigger tires, any of the budget lifts will work fine. i have the daystar lift which was super cheap, it would work just fine for what you are looking for. i run 32" tires with no problems. you will have to do the pinch weld mod regardless of the lift you go with.
