Re: WK lifts- OME vs. 2.25 RR

You will be very satisfied if you get the OME medium unless you tow and or plan on aftermarket bumpers then i would suggest HD.
I had RRO, RK with coils which is why i recommend OME and also had Rough Country which i never installed.
IMO i would just get the SL!

Question Re: WK lifts- OME vs. 2.25 RR

opps, lol that was actually for Micallef. i believe i read that you changed from the RRO to the OME lift? let us know? lol and how did each one ride?

But on another note, we are definatly in the same boat DGora31, all i plan on doing is hitting the sand and being safe when going snowboarding.

And for BlackedOutWK, This mystery lift we are all talking about is on this site : http://www.rocky-road.com/wkome.html
there is the:
Complete OME full Suspensions: 760$
F/R OME springs,F/R OME shocks,
and the: Complete Budget Suspensions: 395$
F/R OME springs, Rear Rocky Road shocks
-the differnce between the two is that the complete OME full suspensions comes with the front and rear OME shocks, and the budget lift only comes with the *rear* rocky road shocks

"complete Budget suspensions" is the mystery 395$ lift that were talking about. check it out

Im wondering if its worth it

exactly! I think im really leaning towards the RRO lift... if you pair that up with the bilstiens that Jeep uses that ad the 3/8" and some 32's... i think that's our best bet! I think that would yield just under 3" of suspension lift and an inch or two of height from the tires... sounds just about right to me. Also, im planning on keeping my stock rims and painting them black with some Plasti-dip once i get some new shoes on there...

On a side note... OBXJeep looks like he has exactly the lift & tires as i want on mine... great over all stance, same tires, same rims... and yes i did copy him on the front emblem black out post haha except i am not sure i want to put spacers on mine :/

hahaha wow DGora31 im totally with you on keeping the stock rims and plasti-dip'in them haha i think they would look SICK!!!!! im just worried on how that material is gonna hold up.. cuz i watched a video on youtube and someone pulled it right off after spraying it on.. but in all the forms ive seen everybody talks it up!! i guess we'll have to see

and about the lift, i think you should check out this thread before you decide.. its pretty informing on all the budget lifts, and now im leaning more towards the OME! prolly gonna order tomorrow

and if you still think you want the RR one i think you should look into the Rough country 2" lift.. its better priced at 149$ and the same thing(actually made of steel, instead of poly material) and you can throw the 1.25 or 1.5 inch spidertrax on it too.. but then you still gotta get new rear 2" bigger shocks if you want that cleaner ride quality. and thatll prolly cost you more then the OME. which the OME offers everything together! ahhhhh mind troubling lol

Dude! i was wondering the same thing myself about the plasti dip!! ... all the canadians on here talk about how great they work in the snow haha while i do frequent the mountains quite a bit, i live in LA, so im more interested in them holding up at the local car wash with the dudes scrubbing the $h!t out of them and not pulling out of the car wash with half the black rim hanging off the side!! that would def not help get me any action!

Re: WK lifts- OME vs. 2.25 RR

go ome, the REAL lift. ignore that stupid budget version.

if it's too much money, then any of the budget lifts, rro, rk, daystar, etc. are more than enough for what you guys are looking to do with your vehicles.

keep in mind the addition costs involved such as, new wheels or wheel spacers (or both depending on the offset), tires, and install fee's or if you are doing it yourself any additional tools you may have to buy/rent.

Re: WK lifts- OME vs. 2.25 RR

Heres a question has anyone got the OME HD lift and 2" Spacer kit? My suspension finally went to hell on my 06" It lasted 84000 miles, and I was gonna replace with OME HD kit but got to thinking what if i did both? How much more problems will i run into? ELS? Axle angle? Just curious

I disagree with the statement about ignoring the OME Budget lift, Its the same lift as the FULL one, but does not come with the front shocks(which will just make for a smoother ride) and comes with rear ones. And front ones are able to purchase at a later time. the component in the lift that actually does the lifting for the car is the *springs*(for this particular lift). the new shocks make the ride quality better(they dont give any lift, just are set at the lift height) if im not mistaken.
so all in all you will get the same lift at a more affordable price at the time, just without the front shocks.
and ofcousrse we know that with a lift everybody wants bigger tires and spacers(if you are getting big enough tires to rub) and last but not least your not getting your lift on without paying some money to intall it, in some sort of way(but i think thats a given) haha

MY QUESTION IS: WHY IS THE LIFT ACTUALLY ADVERTISED ON THE "COPMANIES" WEBSITE THAT ITS A 1.5" LIFT... AND IM HEARING YOU GET ALMOST 3" OUT OF IT???????

Hella, correct me if im wrong but isnt the price dif between the two lifts around $400 bucks?? There is no way that the only difference is two front shocks... those are like 50 bucks... maybe im wrong

No, the exact difference in price between the two would be $365... and yeah the cheaper lift does not come with the OME front struts(which would be $147 each). And last but not least, the cheaper kit comes with Rocky Road Rear Shocks, instead of the OME Rear shocks. This is why im assuming the price differnce is the way it is. Seems as tho the OME shocks are better quality!
hope that helps
