Exclamation WK2 lift 4+ inches..?

So, I really want to buy a 2011 Jeep Grand Cherokee, but I want it to ride on 35's, possibly 37's. I have a few questions, so if any one knows anything that'd be great. (Please excuse if my knowledge isn't accurate..)

1) how big of a lift would be needed?

2) what would it take to lift a WK2 more than 2.5 inches? Being that it is an IFS/IRS.

Any input would help. Thank you!

I think u r buying the wrong jeep....maybe a Wrangler. if u can lift that high then u things like CV angles to contend with, guard clearance...

33 should fit with a 2 or 2.5 lift and some spacers. Then again it might still be tight. Might have to be 32s. To run 35s for the wk2.. would have to be all custom work with drop down brackets to keep factory angles and your wheel wells would need to be heavily modded. Alot of money but it would be one of a kind.

Sidenote maybe you should call superlift and see if they are working on a wk2 lift. That would be your best bet. Do want you want with your jeep. Don't let anyone tell you different.

Re: WK2 lift 4+ inches..?

I think mine are 32's so 33 could work with less major surgery.

I figured it would be custom work to go larger than 33's. I appreciate the feed back!

Oh, one more thing! I know it's not the best 4x4 on the market. But how much would putting 33's on it limit it's off road capabilities? Would it even be limited or improved?

Hmm you would have to dig around on the forums and ask someone who has done it or even gone offroading in 32s with the wk2.

Only thing i could see is not enough room to really flex since your other tire would hit the top of the wheel well pretty fast. Then again i don't own a wk2 so its best to get another opinion on this matter. But by any means it shouldn't lessen the off road capabilities of your jeep.
