Re: WK2 Lower Front Guard

I just posted on their website's blog to see if we get any response there. BTW, I am still waiting on the stuff I ordered (sump & transmission protection plates) back in the beginning of February...man those ships sure take their time.

Re: WK2 Lower Front Guard

Since my last sand trip two months ago, I've been driving around without the front bumper cover in anticipation. I'm thinking of putting it back on today. With my luck, this will surely mean the lower front guard will be out on Monday.

Re: WK2 Lower Front Guard

So I went on Chief's website today and I see that they have changed the lower front guard and nudge bar photos under the products page from drawings to actual photos...I think this must mean we are getting close! Also, I noticed a few new things under development, (or maybe I just missed them before) including fender flares! Bill, if you are planning on making fender flares, please please please make them cut-in type that will allow for slightly larger tires!!! Bushwacker already has the bolt ons and I know there are others who would like some fender flares that would allow 32", 33" or even 35" tires if possible. Thank you Chief for making the products us WK2 owners need/want!

Re: WK2 Lower Front Guard

Wow it looks good! Price is also OK. On the MY2014 though you still have that exposed foam section, which kind of invalidates any thoughts of permanently removing the front air dam. Damn.
Is it likely I could get a steel fabricator to knock up a fascia to cover that part?

Cheers, Simon

Did you see the photo of the MY14, looks like the foam has been removed.

Also appears Bill got himself a new GC too.

Maybe I need to view the pics on something bigger than my phone, I couldn't really tell what was in that space where the foam goes.

Cheers, Simon

Re: WK2 Lower Front Guard

It looks like Bill has got himself a great design team. The photos particularly the one of his new MY14 is top pro add photography. I like the attention to detail like tidying up that boxy sensor enclosure and the ends. I also like that he kept the 7-slot theme. Chrysler's lawyers will probably send him a letter about that but they can get nicked.

Re: WK2 Lower Front Guard

Just checked the pics...looks pretty good, the question I guess still remains the same : when will be able to buy, install and have it on our Jeeps ?..
