I should also mention that we've just released an updated version of our WK2 Sump Protection Plate. The Heavy Duty (5mm) stays exactly the same. The Standard (3mm) version has a few minor changes (we added some polyurethane/steel bushings and adjusted the mounting slots to accommodate). The big news is that we've added a new Access Panel (3mm) version. It incorporates an access panel so V8 WK2 owners can change their oil without having to remove the entire plate.

I hope that helps!

Cheers,
Bill
Hi Bill, ok, sounds good, I'm interested in purchasing the wk2 3mm sump plate protection, after my last off road trip the original plastic protection was completely destroyed, I sent an email thru the chief page with a few questions, I would need it sent to my address in Miami, USA, would that be a problem ?.
Here is a pic of the plastic part..or should I say..what was left !!..ha,ha.
Rgds.

Hi Bill,
The lower front guard still shows coming soon! Could you let me know how to proceed with the order.

Re: WK2 Lower Front Guard

Chief one should work just fine with RRO winch mounts and the bumper bar I ordered. It looks like yours is exposing more than it is protecting just like RRO's pre-runner. That's why I waited to order The Chief product one with full corner guards plus ordered the sump and transmission plates.

Re: WK2 Lower Front Guard

So eager to find out when/who the U.S. distributors will be selling the Chief Products.

I can't stomach spending that much money right now on shipping from AU to the U.S. alone.

Unlike the RRO pre runner mine fits behind the bumper bar.
The RRO winch bar is higher than the OEM foam bumper so you will have a large hole above the Chief plate.

Re: WK2 Lower Front Guard

It's Christmas in July!
The parcel arrived this morning. I can tell you Bill could teach Mopar a thing or two about wrapping large items.

From Mudgeeraba to my place is 820km, 99.5% of which is highway. It took 70 hours (~3days) so that's an average speed of about 12km/h which is easy running speed. The Olympic torch would have been faster but it's not bad considering the complexities of logistics. I wouldn't have wanted to have payed more to get it any earlier. Anyway, enough prattle. Where are are my overalls?

Re: WK2 Lower Front Guard

Lucky you! Mine made it across the ocean to Los Angeles but is now somewhere between there and Colorado so everyday I'm checking the front porch as I pull into the driveway.

Re: WK2 Lower Front Guard

Subscribed. The Chief products look great, and I would be interested in a CA USA location, like Pinetar. I also subscribed to Chief's site.
