On a positive note, we've decided we have the resources to continue development on 1 product while we expand our marketing and retailer network. We've chosen to continue development on the WK2 Rear Bumper Guard. I'll be releasing some 3D renders of the design along with some product development information next week. We're currently manufacturing the 1st prototype and will begin testing it in the field very soon.

Cheers,
Bill

Lower front guard and sump plate were a whopping success and have the battle scars to prove it.

Thanks Bill!!

Re: WK2 Lower Front Guard

Great news, the rear bumper guard is something that I guess all of us who go offroad need a solution for it.

Bill,
Great on the rear bumper. Hidden winch mount I hope will be next. Or front receiver mount for portable winch.

Bill, I am waiting on delivery for your Sump and Transmission protection plates but today while off road went int mud puddle and ripped lower fascia off my 2014 Overland, I got new push bolts and think I can repair it.

However, I now see need to protect lower front-end right away, so I am looking at ordering the WK2 LOWER FRONT GUARD, my questions is will the "Prerunner" in development, replace the need for the LOWER FRONT GUARD or be used to compliment it?

Thanks

Chuck

Re: WK2 Lower Front Guard

Good question Chuck. I have been wanting to know this too as my GC is not due until end of November so would help me decide which way to go.

Hey Guys,

The WK2 Pre-Runner is designed as a full replacement for the lower front fascia and the WK2 Lower Front Guard is designed to fit behind the lower front fascia. You'd probably be looking at one or the other, but not both.

The WK2 Lower Front Guard is designed for WK2 owners that like having the ability to maintain their OEM appearance while on-road, while still having protection off-road.

The WK2 Pre-Runner is designed for WK2 owners that don't mind having a custom looking front end and don't want to remove/replace the lower front fascia whenever they go off-road. I should mention that we've had to delay the WK2 Pre-Runner while we establish our retailer network, setup our North American operations and launch our marketing campaign. Which means we don't have a target release date at this time.

Our plan is to design the Hidden Winch Mount, so it will work with both.

I hope that helps!

Cheers,
Bill

Thanks Bill, decisions decisions........

I like idea of pre-runner depending on looks. I think you said 3D renderings might be posted in near future, if so they may help decide to wait or get Lower Front Guard kit.

Hopefully the prerunner will be ACC compatible.

The WK2 Pre-Runner will definitely be ACC compatible.

Unfortunately since the project is on hold I'm not sure when we'll have the 3D renders for everyone to look at.

Cheers,
Bill

Thanks Bill. As a business owner myself, setting up of a business for longevity and success is much more important than satisfying us impatient GC owners.

I will cross my fingers you breeze through it all and have a 3D drawing concept maybe by Christmas. There's that impatience again.

Thanks for understanding! It's something I try to keep to a minimum for customers, but after a lot of internal discussion we realised it couldn't be avoided. If we're going to keep making great products for everyone we need to increase our distribution and get our name out there.

I'm hoping to have some 3D models around Christmas time, so you might have the timing just about right.

On a positive note, we've decided we've got the resources to continue development on 1 project while we're expanding Chief. I just received the 1st prototype of our new WK2 Rear Bumper Guard and it's looking pretty good! I'll be posting some photos, 3D renders and product info very soon.

Cheers,
Bill
