Re: WK2 Off-Roading

My Jet Laredo getting dirty in Newnes Australia, 2.5hrs from the Harbour Bridge and Opera House for those OS.
Mods to come: Mopar Rock Rails, Full underbody protection, black powdercoated nudgebar with light bar, off road tyres (running stock still..).

Wk2 Jet Laredo @ Newnes, Australia 2013 - YouTube

Also, there are many Australian's that off road, not because of necessity (very few of us are actually in remote areas), but rather we have so much country to explore. Many of the regions we 4WD in are close to urban areas, with the option of really heading outback if we wish.

I would have to say one thing though to be honest, not many Aussies travel outback and explore their own country as do the Americans, which is a bit of a shame. So much to see here, but many would rather travel to the States and Europe...
Cheers guys,
Paul

Sorry mate, guess it was I tried to sneak some copyright songs in. Creedence Clearwater and chemical brothers believe.

Nice work!, I think your mates need to learn what your GC can do!, lol, they kept stoping you when you could make it easy!, just remember you need a little bit of wheel spin for the traction control to kick in !, keep up the hood work

Cool video! Thanks for posting. Take more video next time you head out as well. Never enough wk2 footage on YouTube.

I find it unique that the "Jet" package (which looks like the Altitude package here in the US) comes with the Quadra-Lift, when it wasn't even an option on the Altitude.

Also, is that roof rack the one that attaches to the silver rails, or an aftermarket one that goes into the door frame?

Thanks guys, actually on stock wheels, the GC surprised all of us.

Yeah, the racks are thule. They are the ones that go onto the door frames, not my preferred option, but was the only one I could think of/manage to get my hands on. Sounds like the rails here are the same there (I.e. US), in that they don't have the same channels for racks to be inserted to.

As for quadralift, it was an option here, although apparently there were not many that had the option given it was thought that the lower end Laredo (which it is based on) would be unlikely to be optioned up by the buyer and also unlikely to be taken offroad.

Did you mean someone else?

I posted a video, but only one I found on YouTube - not my own.
