Good to see, I didn't see your posts about getting it as i don't follow that thread. Fun stuff eh. I gather the Suttons sticker got taken off very quickly.

Ultimately was it worth getting in Sydney with all the crap vs the extra amount in Tassie?
Assuming the Tassie dealer wouldn't also dick you around.

Hey Snuke ,
They were instructed not to put any of their crap on it prior to the pick up.
I posted some stuff in the grease on wheels thread.
Yeah definitely worth it. I ended up with 5 grand worth of extras and saved freight and a bunch of over the top fitting charges on bar/winch/bash plate from Uneek.
I'm guessing maybe 6K or more. My mate and I had a 10 day road trip cost of that including hire car accommodation sightseeing etc plus ferry trip home less than 1.5K
Some stressful days but we had a bunch of perlers. We took approx 8 ltrs of homemade spirit mixs with us treated the family and friends along the way. The most expensive day out was Scienic World at Katoomba with accommodation... Three nights accommodation in Dandenong the rest spent with the rellies in Vic and Nsw.
We had a blast.
Cheers Bloke

Dandenong is highly regarded as a tourist destination.

Not being content with being screwed at Waitara, thought you would have a go at being knifed in Melbourne did you?

Cracking up here. :-)
Mate don't get me started..... Had to be close to Uneek, they did the install themselves. But yeah from shtye food to a flat top hair cut which ended in a crew cut, they just tell you what you wanna hear. Even a trip by train to Flinders St Station and a visit to the city was an exercise in visiting a foreign country. I'm afraid I turned into a Tasweigian many years ago.
Sydney was once upon a time 'home' as much fun as it was to drive down to Nowra via Buli Pass Wollongong, then over Camberwara Mt, Kangaroo Valley Moss Vale Bowral and on to Katoomba... It is great to be back in Tas driving country miles home with the wife and kids.
Cheers

Got to agree with you. It's my intention to shift down to Tas when I finish work, already have a house in the central highlands. Can't wait to leave behind SA's 40+ degree days.ImageUploadedByJeepGarage1405658203.789473.jpg

Ditto used to love the heat and long hot summers, then I moved through 40 and realised I needed a cooler climate.
Best part about the central north and on the coast is the moderate temperature swing.
Zero to 26 C, 27 C.
I can no longer handle minus through to forty plus.
That and Tasmania is still like the quieter places where I remember my Grandparents came from and many of the good memories reside.
Cheers Salmo
