Re: R1 Concepts Inc. Official Feedback Thread

Rob, how are these performing after a couple months use and is there a performance difference with the OEM ones ?

Re: R1 Concepts Inc. Official Feedback Thread

im not driving any roadcourses so hard to tell how much better these are than stock. I bought them mostly for the LOOKS.

I bought the Hawk ProCeramic pads and thats where I think I lose a little bite. I would recommend the Hawk HPS pads. They have the bite yet are low dust. I use the HPS on my other Jeep, the XJ, and just love them. Good bite, low dust, no noise, long wear.

Re: R1 Concepts Inc. Official Feedback Thread

Just upgraded to R1 premium drilled slotted with wagner thermoquiets. Very impressed with the rotors when I pulled them out of the box. seemed very heavy duty. HAd them installed and they really look and stop great. no fade no squeaks no pulse. I can't say enough. Thanks to R1 for a great deal and to Jeepgarge for having some great relationships with vendors.

My E-line series rotors come with zinc plating. The whole rotor is dipped in silver zinc (still not an anti-rust).

The Premium rotors have a rust protection but only on the center hub, inner vane structures and outer rim of rotor. Where the black coating is where the rust protection is.

Re: R1 Concepts Inc. Official Feedback Thread

Hey guys, I've got some questions on the premium style rotors from r1concepts. I guess I didn't realize that with the premium line there is no rust protection on the entire rotor and only the areas covered in black are protected.

After installing these on my 07 STS I am experiencing a ton of ugly looking rust areas. What has everyone else done with these rotors? I cannot stand the look of rust on my car!

Please let me know your thoughts on cleaning this up. I can post some pictures if anyone is interested.

Thanks!
