something i can do myself in a driveway,or does the car need a dealer "reflash"after fluid change?

Re: 05 laredo trans fluid advise

It's an 05. I'm sure it probably hasn't been flashed recently.

Just for advice, never flush fluids. Only drain and refill. I'm sure you probably already know.

It is something you can do yourself. However, unless you already have a fluid extractor, the Dipstick tool and a way to read the fluid temp, your going to have more than $200 into it to do it yourself.....at least the first time.

Re: 05 laredo trans fluid advise

I had mine changed and never had a re-flash at the dealer. Does just fine. Also, have them check your electrical seal on the trans, they are known to leak. Mine caused a major leak!

Also, shop around. A small trans shop should be able to change the fluid/filter for closer to $100.

Re: 05 laredo trans fluid advise

Throw a K&N Cold Air Intake on there along with a Fastman Throttle Body. I see you have the 3.7 but I here those to mods will kick it up a notch.
