05083223AA C2 PCM connector kit
After extensive troubleshooting and several good blasts of WD40 and Electrical cleaner, I was able to at least make a temp repair to my PCM C2 connector. It was giving me the red lightning bold, ETC, errors and various codes associated with the throttle body and ETC. I also had a very intermittent and untraceable "CHECK GAS CAP" error. I ran down the Throttle body code (P0223) with the FSM and discovered that several pins along with the TSP#2 signal pin had a stray +2.5v, key on, C2 disconnected. It was picking up +5v through the connector (I bypassed the harness to rule out a wire short). After a good cleaning, Alice is running better than new. Not only did this resolve my immediate issue, it resolved the "Check Gas Cap" message, and my 1-2 shift stutter. In fact, she is responding incredibly well, which makes sense since the PCM uses the TB feedback for so many things. However, she hiccuped with the same error today while driving. Recleaned C2 and she straightened right out.
It appears that Chrysler has a connector repair kit (05083223AA) and this should solve my problem. Dealer list is $97 and change. I found one supplier for $57 and change. This can't be an isolated issue.
Has anyone found a quality source at a digestible price? I will snag one for $57, but it seems like that is a one guy shop and he is on vacation this week (figures). I's like to order one sooner rather than later.
